Skills and training for disability empowerment

As winter approaches in Gilgit-Baltistan, the Gilgit Baltistan Goodwill Movement (GBGM) is gradually winding down its Skills Development Project for the season. The harsh weather, limited mobility, and higher operational costs make it difficult to continue training programmes during these months. Throughout the year, our small team has been stretched beyond its resources—working long hours, managing multiple community needs, and ensuring that every disabled individual enrolled in our programmes receives the support they deserve. Despite these challenges, the dedication of our trainers, volunteers, and partners has allowed us to reach many individuals with skills that build confidence, independence, and dignity….
