Gilgit-Baltistan’s Goodwill Movement (GBGM) called upon Chief Secretary Muhyuddin Wani to Discuss Challenges Faced by People with Disabilities on Wednesday, the 22nd of Feburary.
The Gilgit-Baltistan’s Goodwill Movement (GBGM) team, under the supervision of President Farhan Baig, met with Chief Secretary GB Mohiuddin Wani to discuss various issues and challenges faced by people with disabilities in Gilgit Baltistan. During the meeting, the GBGM team highlighted the need to address the challenges faced by persons with disabilities and urged the government to take steps to ensure their rights and well-being. The various topics included accessibility, employment, education, and healthcare for persons with disabilities in the region.
President Farhan Baig said, ‘ We are committed to advocating for the rights of people with disabilities and ensuring they have equal opportunities in all areas of life. We are responsible for working with the government and other stakeholders to create an inclusive and accessible environment for all “. Chief Secretary Muhyuddin Wani appreciated the efforts of GBGM and pledged to work closely with them to address the challenges faced by people with disabilities in the region. He assured the GBGM team that the government is committed to ensuring that people with disabilities have equal opportunities and access to services.
The GBGM team thanked the Chief Secretary for his time and attention to these important issues. They reiterated their commitment to working with the government to create a more inclusive and accessible society for all.
